Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Tuesday
Tuesday 4 April 2006
PRESENT
Mr K Barnett (Chairman), Mr T Hughes (Vice Chairman),
Mrs B Sharpe, Mr P Davies,
Mrs F Hughes, Mr I Owen, Mr W Davies.
6 members of the public.
OPEN DISCUSSION
Mr Cornes said that he had made enquiries about the Gouchions, and the
Chairman had been correct - it was just a rumour, with no foundation in
fact.
Mrs Jackson said that the water leak in Dog Kennel Lane at the entrance
to White Lodge had not been mended. Chairman to follow up.
Mrs Edwards reported that the Contractor had come to try to sort the
problem of the smell near the garage. It was thought the tank had been
improperly installed. Clerk to write to Severn Trent.
The Chairman then closed the Open Meeting.

Mrs Hughes declared a personal and prejudicial interest to the planning
application at Orchard Cottage, Mynd.

Agreed unanimously and signed by the Chairman as
a true and accurate record.
MATTERS ARISING
Street Lights. No date yet available for the installation of the
street light at the Causeway.
Level Crossing. Nothing further to report. To be removed
from the agenda.
Traffic through the Village. In Mr Hartin's absence, nothing to report
at present.
Rights of Way. Nothing to report in Mr Hartin's absence.
PLANNING
Application No. 1/06/18052/F Conservatory at Chanticleer, Bedstone Road.
Supported.
Aplication No. 1/06/18066/TC
Felling of two trees at The Aviaries, Bucknell. Supported.
Application No.
1/06/18016/F Domestic outbuildings, etc at Orchard Cottage, Mynd,
Bucknell. Mr Hughes left the meeting while this was discussed.
Supported.
There were no decisions by
the Planning Authority to be reported.
DAFFODIL LANE
DEVELOPMENT
Mrs Edwards reported that the official opening had been successful, with
a five-a-side competition, and an afternoon tea in the hall had ensured
that costs were covered. Further events were planned for the
Easter Weekend.
The Chairman said that the
Land Registry had rejected the Lease because there was no official
Parish Council seal. In view of the time factor, the Chairman had
bought a suitable seal off the internet at a cost of £17.61 including
VAT> It was unanimously agree that this be paid.

form.. Mrs Edwards to provide this.
CHURCHYARD WALL
The Contractor was aware that the Parish Council had approved the
quotation. Chairman to arrange for the faculty.

CHAIRMAN’S ITEMS
The Chairman said he would not be seeking re=election at the Annual
Parish Council meeting next month, but would continue as an Ordinary
Member.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Mrs Edwards was invited to speak from the floor and said that the train
did not run on Saturday lunchtime, and a bus was put on instead.
The driver said that Bucknell was not on his itinerary and would not
stop to pick up. Chairman to follow up.
Land opposite Baron of Beef.
Chairman to put this work in hand now.
Japanese Knotweed. Mr W Davies to contact Bucknell
Nurseries re: eradication of this. To be put on the Agenda for
next time.
DATE AND VENUE FOR NEXT MEETING
As neither the Chairman nor the Clerk was available on 2 May, the next
meeting will be held on Tuesday 9 May 2006 in
Bucknell Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. This will be the Annual Parish
Assembly, followed by the Annual Parish Council Meeting.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.25pm.
